Welcome to all those who are interested in the natural world, and are keen to socialise with other like-minded individuals.

Elmbridge is a borough to the south-west of London (see map). The borough offers a good range of species and habitats, and includes some sites, such as the commons around Esher and Oxshott, which are of major wildlife importance within the county and indeed nationally.

The Elmbridge Natural History Society (ENHS) provides opportunities for people around, and adjacent to, the borough to explore its natural history. The Society is fortunate that its members include leading authorities in their fields who are pleased to share their knowledge, as well as members who are enthusiastic amateurs or have more general interests.

Outdoor meetings include regular summer walks around local wildlife sites, as well as fungus forays, night-time moth trapping and occasional bat and bird walks.

Indoor meetings are held between October and April at Cobham Village Hall.

A quarterly Bulletin is emailed to all members. This contains meeting reports and lists of forthcoming meetings, and all members are encouraged to contribute.

Anyone is welcome to join the Society. Annual subscriptions run from April each year and the current rate is £10 (single)/£15 (couple/family). Just complete and return the Membership Application Form.
