Meetings
Indoor Meetings 2026-2027
These comprise a mixture of illustrated talks and members’ evenings, where members are encouraged to bring along items of natural history interest, brief presentations etc.
They are held between October and April in the upstairs room of Cobham Village Hall, Lushington Drive, Cobham KT11 2LU. There is ample free parking, and tea and coffee are provided (50p charge for refreshments). (Please try to bring along correct amount). Meetings start at 8pm and finish by 10pm.
Non-members are welcome to all indoor meetings unless otherwise stated (£3.00 charge on the door, refundable if you join the Society).
Meetings also include our Annual General Meeting in April, when the ENHS Committee is elected.
Wed 8 Apr - AGM followed by a roundup on the Esher Commons by Dave Page.
Outdoor Meetings 2026-2027

Wed 22nd April 10am - The Ledges and Winterdown Woods. Meet at West End Lane Car Park, West End Lane, Esher (A309 Portsmouth Road end). Car park may be busy so give yourself extra time. Ancient woodland and riparian habitats. 2 km some slopes.
Wed 6th May 10am - Ditton Common woodland. Meet at small commons car park on access road to Old Cranleighan Sports Ground, Portsmouth Road, Thames Ditton. KT7 0HB (just east of the Long Arch railway overbridge). Secondary woodland, recently managed. 1.5km flat.
Wed 20th May 10am - Molesey Heath. Meet at Approach Road entrance. Park in Approach Road, West Molesey KT8 2LL or nearby streets. Grassland, scrub and riparian habitats. 2.5km fairly flat.
Thurs 21st May - Oxshott Heath South Slope - Moth trapping night - Details TBA

Thurs 11th June - West End Common Old Rubbish Dump. - Moth trapping night - Details TBA
Wed 17th June 10am - Fairmile Common. Meet at Lakewood Car Park, A307 Portsmouth Road, Cobham. 2 km flat. Heathland flora and fauna (Silver-studded Blue). Joint walk with WSNHS members.
Thurs 18th June - Brooklands Community Park. - Moth trapping night - Details TBA
Wed 24th June -Hurst Meadows. Meet at Graburn Way Car Park, Hurst Road, Easy Molesey. 1.5 km flat. Grassland flora and fauna. Joint Walk with WSNHS members.
Thurs 16th July - Molesey Heath. - Moth trapping night - Details TBA
Mon 10th or Tues 11th August - Fairmile Common. - Moth trapping night - Details TBA
Tues 1st September or Thurs 3rd September - Esher Common Black Pond. - Moth trapping night - Details TBA
