Indoor Meetings 2026-2027

 

These comprise a mixture of illustrated talks and members’ evenings, where members are encouraged to bring along items of natural history interest, brief presentations etc.

 

Winter talks start at 8pm and finish by 10pm. Unless otherwise stated, these will be held in the
upstairs committee room, Cobham Village Hall, Lushington Drive, Cobham. Non-members are
welcome to all meetings unless otherwise advertised (£3.00 charge, refundable if you join the
society). Refreshments (in-person winter meetings): 50p. (Please try to bring along correct
amount.

Meetings also include our Annual General Meeting in April, when the ENHS Committee is elected.

Wed 11 Nov - A Trip through the Kingdom of Bhutan. Talk by ENHS member Joan Bingley.Reaching from 200m at the Indian border to over 4,000m in the Himalayas, Bhutanprovides a wide variety of habitats and wildlife, as well as glimpses of the uniqueculture of the Kingdom. Discover rhododendron forests, mountain passes, monkeys, colourful insects and pheasants, the skulking Pygmy Wren Babbler andthe globally-endangered White-bellied Heron.

Wed 9 Dec - Members' evening. Bring along anything you would like to share with the group,
whether a brief slide presentation or just an item of natural history interest to talk about or display. Plus the opportunity to socialise over tea and mince pies.
